Talent Acquisition Process

Our streamlined talent acquisition process enables your organization to source and receive an intern in your office in as little as 11 weeks.

Week 1

Finalize Job Description

In order for us to ensure the perfect match between company and talent, we need to have the perfect job description. This also enables a shorter processing timeline for the J-1 visa.

Week 1

Sign Contract

Meet with an AIESEC representative and commit to the terms of service. this includes a breakdown of the intern’s monthly salary during their stay.

Week 2 - 4

Talent Sourcing

We utilize our vast network of AIESEC members across the globe to scout out the perfect shortlist of candidates for your company to approve. This process can be shortened depending on the profile you desire for your intern.

Week 4 - 5

Intern Selection

Take our shortlist and review the candidates with interviews and internal discussions. If you’ve found your perfect match from the bunch, the process can continue. If not, we’ll recast another targeted net into our pool of globally-minded talent. Subsequent sourcing will cause your timeline to become extended, however.

Week 6 - 8

Visa Processing

Once you’ve made your selections, we’ll get to work processing the J-1 visa. If provided us with all the correct materials, sit back and allow us to work with the intern in order to get their paperwork in order. AIESEC provides your intern with this visa at no additional charge to your organization.

Week 6 - 10

Intern Preparation

AIESEC, being the world’s largest youth-operated organization, has offices in over 125 countries and territories. You intern will come through from one of these offices and will be given pre-departure education and resources. Additionally, your intern will be given instructions for their reception by AIESEC in the United States.

Week 11

Intern Reception

Once your intern has landed, AIESEC will pick them up from the airport and ensure they are set up in their new living space – also arranged by AIESEC. Throughout the duration of their experience, your intern will have an immediate social support system in the AIESEC membership nearest to them.

Pricing

Pricing for the Global Internship Program is dependent on the duration of your trainee’s stay in the United States. The total fee will be charged upon final selection of the intern. These costs include J-1 visa and SEVIS administration fees, health insurance for the intern, and the sourcing process. Throughout the duration of their stay, the intern must be paid a stipend to cover their cost of living.
